Rex Resolution 17: Ein moerderischer Sommer

Alternatively titled "Moser goes the Full Monty", a cheeky little episode as seen above in this French YouTube video.

When a couple are mudered in the Lobau, a nudist area in the Danube Meadows, it's more than enough motivation for Moser to enlist an attractive female colleague, oddly resisting all of Stockinger's offers, and get his kit off. Together, the idea is to act as a couple in order to flush the murderer out.

Stockinger seems a little put out and he may be on to something because, of course, it doesn't take long for the 'on official business' lines to be blurred. Not sure what Sonja the vet might make of this. She might be tempted to get Moser neutered...luckily for him, she doesn't appear in this episode.

Lots of rustling in the bushes and a voyeur who eyes up colleague 'Don't call me Sissi' pays dearly with his own life. Obviously the dangers of naturism are greater than making sure you don't sit on anything prickly.

With Rex along for the ride, there's no need to worry about the safety of Moser and colleague. When the murderer attacks another couple instead, Rex, true to form, chases the culprit down.

Other players include the late Michael Aichhorn as Klaus Beranek, Gerhard Ruehmkorf, seen above, and Heinz Wurstinger, uncredited in IMDB for this episode.

On the Recycled Rexer honour list is Sabine Petzl who reprises her role as Elizabeth Boehm in two futher episodes: Duft des Todes (1995), Moerderische Leidenschaft (1996) but then crops up as Eva Kretschmer in Vitamine zum Sterben (2003). Also, Karl Ferdinand Krazl, uncredited in IMDB for this episode but who we saw earlier in Diagnose Mord (1994) and Rudolf Knor, also seen in Die blinde Zeugin (1995).
