Rex Resolution 18:Toedliche Verfuehrung

I'd be quite happy to loiter around the beautiful buildings of Vienna taking photos of Moser and crew but my intentions would be quite innocent compared to the photographer in "Toedliche Verfuehrung" or "Deadly Seduction". I certainly wouldn't be inviting anyone back to room 420 in the Palais Hotel.

The happy snapper in this episode obviously thought differently, a deadly mistake. Initially, it might look as if he simply got a little overexcited in opening his mail, but Moser is wiser and is soon on the hunt for the murderer. With the room in disarray, Moser notices that film has been ripped from the victim's camera and heads off to the nearest photo shop.

In true Rex fashion, just as Moser is asking about who tried to collect the photos earlier, the guilty party looks in the window! Moser and Rex take off in pursuit, tracking down the man to a rubbish bin. Of course, the man is just a red herring. He had a hot date with the photographer but found him dead on arrival. Nothing like that to ruin the mood!

A minor note, this man headed for the gay date happened to be wearing a wedding ring. A blooper, perhaps?

Turns out the murder has nothing to do with picking up men, rather that the photographer captured criminal behaviour on film. When Moser finally cracks the connection between men on park benches, dogs and the icecream man (and it's nothing to do with not picking up dog droppings), with the help of a reluctantly recruited Max Koch, the case is solved.

Other players include Michael Koenig as Bernd Holzmann, Klaus Handl above as Hubert Meixner, Irene Schekina not listed with IMDB, Jeanette Tanzer not listed in IMDB and Christian Wittmann, above, not listed in IMDB for this episode.

Recycled Rexers few and far between in this episode. I did spot one but he doesn't appear to be listed in the credits. In this episode, he acted as a hotel employee but I've seen him in at least two other episodes. Check back later to see if I can identify him. Also, there's Daniela Gaets as Sonya the vet but that's more of a recurring role.
