The plot underlying this episode is rubbish. Toxic rubbish that is. A German national is found dead in Room 663 and the only witness is a blind hotel receptionist. I love the irony sometimes found in this show. The receptionist was in the process of giving the victim the address of a local gun store when he was shot.
When the perpetrator realises he's been overheard, the receptionist becomes a target and Rex takes on the role of bodyguard, saving the girl from misplaced string on the stairs and a hit and run. Meanwhile Moser and Stockinger head over the border to investigate illegal dumping of toxic waste and Hoellerer gets out of the office, tailing the suspect.
As normal, all ends well, with the additional bonus of a cute "Baby Rex" for the blind witness, a gift from the oh-so-sweet Moser.
Other players include Maria von Blumencron , above, as Brigitte, Wolfgang Muellner as Janicek, Hubert Wolf as Werner Neuner, Marian Labuda, above and not credited for this episode in IMDB, and Gerhard Acktun, also above, as Klaus Schumann.
Recycled Rexer Rudolf Knor, who appeared in this episode as well as Ein moerderischer Sommer but remains uncredited for both in IMDB and, of course, Daniela Gaets.
