Musical interlude

Continuing my ongoing fascination with Falco, time for another musical interlude.

Note I have dropped the Wurstsemmel counter. It was more of a guestimate at this stage and, unless anyone else volunteers to count all occurrences of Wurstsemmel in the Rex series,the true answer will have to remain one of the mysteries of the universe.

For now, all I know about the quantity of Wurstsemmel in Rex? EINE GANZE MENGE!

Surely, we all need a tiny break from Rex? Oder nicht?

Okay, stretching the point a little, but maybe this would have been a good Rex case? Note the Rex-look-alikes!

Rex Resolution 8: Der erster Preis

Classical musicians as rock stars in this episode. An early insight into the Andre Rieu phenomenon? The above clip seemed somehow appropriate, although I'll find any excuse to include a video from Falco.

The classical musician in this case turns out to be a nasty piece of work though, paralleled only by Moser's nasty piece of piano playing interspersed through the episode.

A young girl is found dead in the Danube Meadows. Shortly after, another young girl disappears. The episode description outlines that the Inspector believes the murderer may have struck again. No! Really?

Again, the trusty team get on the trail, with the odd Wurstsemmel (or two) thrown in and, again, Moser fans get the obligatory topless shots in early shower scenes. No wonder Tobias Moretti makes no mention of his Inspector Rex days on his website!

Other players include Helmut Zierl as Thomas Hofmann, Johannes Silberschneider as Wolfgang Kucera, Sylvia Haider as Gerti Strobl (all shown above) and Sylvia Meixner as Christl Strobl.

Also, Gabriele Schuchter, but this episode is not listed in her IMDB entry.
