Something stinks but it's not Rex. He's just had a bath. A little unfortunate timing as the new case faced by the team leads them into the sewers underneath Vienna. Gas mask anyone? To add to the torment of those with weak stomachs, Moser and Stocki are faced by bag containing the arms and legs of an unknown person. Later, on exam, Herr Dr. Graf (above), takes a perverse kind of delight in pointing out the severed wounds to Moser.
Not surprisingly, this is a Wurstsemmel free episode.
As a female bank teller lurks around a sewer entry, a link to a bank robbery emerges and, when the trunk of the body turns up allowing identification, Moser gets the start he needs to solve the case. Seems the bank teller's toy boy might be of a person of interest.
And, of course, Rex helps Moser get ahead (ouch!) when he locates the final missing piece of the body in the final scenes.
Other players include Witta Pohl above as Erika Reichel, Fritz von Friedl above as Fritz Stanek, Isabel Matt (not listed in IMDB) and Michel Kellner as Hans Felber.
Recycled Rexer Reinhold Reiner, unlisted in IMDB for this episode but listed for Attentat auf Rex (2003) as Dr. Walter.
