Faking it

Now Thursday nights are work-free, I get to watch Rex again. Hoorah.

Yesterday, I took time out (finally) to watch Die Faelscher/The Counterfeiters. I understand why everyone raved about this movie. It had quite an emotional impact on me that I'm still feeling today. Karl Markovics gave an immaculate performance.

A taste of what we're missing.....

Still....there is some athletic activity here...so it's kind of in keeping with the Olympics, no?

Rex has been dumped for coverage of the Olympics. Pah.

I know. Very un-Australian of me but, as I'm not Australian, that's alright with me!

Rex by Request

A while back, Rex fans were asked to vote for their favourite Rex episodes, with the five most popular to end up on a special issue 'Rex by Request' DVD. A good thing for anyone who wanted a couple of episodes, nothing to tempt the 'die-hards' who already had the full set of series.

It got me thinking about the flipside though. Is there a Rex episode you cannot stand to watch?

For me, one such episode is 'Besessen' or 'Obsessed'. Not that there's anything particular wrong with the storyline but the music drives me INSANE. Lucky for you all that I couldn't find a segment online, otherwise I'd have inflicted it on you!
