Things have been quite Rex wise and I've been inundated with work to the point where I haven't had a moment to post up the next Rex episode. Hopefully today or tomorrow I'l get to it.
Carrying on from the messed up story linking Gedeon erroneously with Katherine Jackson is, of course, the news that the Michael Jackson tribute concert will take place later this month at Schoenbrunn. Got to be good for Vienna from the tourism viewpoint, given tourism has been a little down of late according to the Austrian times.
However I loathe the comparisons of Schoenbrunn to Neverland and it's description as a 'castle, Michael loved castles' in some of the press articles. Really? No, I don't think so. I hope Jackson fans take time to discover the beauty and culture of this fantastic city but I'm not holding my breath.
Read more at the Austrian Times here or, if Jackson's not your thing, how about the Styrian find for farting (got to love the AT - they cover all the big stories)?

A new case for Rex?

Padding out the gaps in between writing up episodes with 'newsworthy' items related to cast members and Vienna itself.....I came across a new case for Rex.
Beyonce skives off Vienna art museum tour. Duping the Albertina director by sending along a look-alike, Beyonce seems to prefer shopping to sampling some of Vienna's art treasures.
Where was Rex? He'd definitely have sniffed the doppelganger out.

Vienna
A musical interlude. Have been saving for an appropriate moment and this is it. No Rex Resolution today because the last two feature length episodes really amount to four days worth of viewing.
Bis Morgen!

Brief intermission
In case you hadn't guessed, Vienna is my favourite city. Browsing the net, I found this wonderful photographic site and thought you'd might like to share.

Vienna Calling
For those of us struggling with the transition to Rome.
Vienna Calling by the late Falco, tragically killed at 40 in a car accident in the Dominican Republic.
Not the original video but many more shots of Vienna. Enjoy.

Ah, Vienna

It's been a slow week or two in terms of Rex-related news. Oddly, at least three of my clients are headed off to Vienna for holidays. Despite suggesting we could continue our work if I travelled too, no one took me up on the offer.
Eifersuechtig. Absolutely. My favourite city.
On a positive note, I can at least enjoy Rex again soon with my Thursday night work coming to an end.
See? I said it was a S-L-O-W week.

And talking of Hoffman...

I was about to say that Hoffman continues to lead the poll as favourite Kommissar but someone's tiptoed in and evened it up for Moser today. Still, it's a good excuse for another Alexander Pschill photo.
On the sidekick side, Stockinger was leading clearly but now Boeck has suddenly increased. Is that you voting, Heinz?
All voters (a heady five of us) affirm Rex should have stayed in Austria. Time to lobby Peter Hajek? Probably not. Yet.
