Finally. A Rex clip as it should be. In German. A bit savagely edited but a worthy clip nonetheless.
Forget the benign art of landscaping. In this episode of Rex, the whole concept of planting things in patterns takes on a whole new meaning. Think bodies, think pentograms. Four women, all with slit throats, buried in the winter snow, each exactly 666m from one another. Not that it takes Moser long to work out the significance of all this. Moser knows this isn't a serial murder, Moser senses something ritualistic is afoot.
Talking of a foot, it's a pity no one thinks to slam one in front of the coffin containing the recently dug up deceased as the coffin takes off at speed down the mountainside. The point? I'm not entirely sure. The coffin as a sledge? One of 1001 uses for a coffin perhaps? Personal interpretations are always welcome.
But back to the plot. Moser learns that the deceased had been in a new relationship, having met someone (not her mummy! ha! ) in the Egyptian section of the museum. Sure enough, shady types are distributing fliers for a mystery organisation when Moser arrives and, although he gets the cold shoulder, he doesn't take it personally and snatches the information he needs to be able to contact the cult.
At cult headquarters after meeting with the Grandmaster (who's not so flash), a rather lengthy bathroom visit (too many Wurstsemmel?) allows him to sneak around, locating the next intended victim, who later flees to the safety of Chez Moser.
Not that it takes long for the cult to track him down. Soon, they are lurking outside and talking in what can only be described as very odd voices. Channeling the Daleks maybe? Nothing spared in terms of effects in this episode, eh? Gunfire, petrol, matches, and, in the midst of all that, up trots Sonja, ready for an evening of excitement with Moser, although it doesn't take quite the form she expected....I'll leave the outcome for you.

Other players in this episode include Nadesha Brennike, above, here as Anne, David Cameron as Norton, Mo? not listed in IMDB, Antonio Paradiso , above, not credited for this episode with IMDB, and Daniela Gaets.
Finally, of course, at least one Recycled Rexer in Elisabeth Lanz, not credited with IMDB for this episode but listed for "Lebendig begraben" (1998) as Frau Stein.
